Racine Web Design owns and maintains
our own Network Operations Center (NOC) at our
Nevada City, and Grass Valley, California locations.
This allows RWD the ability
to monitor our servers and Internet connections closely in a temperature
controlled server room, so we can serve our customers 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week, 365 days a year.

Redundant Power
Ten
high capacity UPS's and backup generator keep our systems and networking equipment running even
when the power is out.
Connectivity and Networking
Our new Fiber Optic DS3 and Frame-Relay
lines keep the network traffic flowing un-resticted to the outside world.
All servers are connected either by 100mb or Gigabit
eithernet.
Servers
RWD has a wide variety of servers to meet the needs of
our customers. We currently have over a dozen Windows 2000 based servers, 6 Linux
servers and a 2TB network drive array. We currently run three mail servers; one
Windows based running NTMail and the others running under Linux.
All of our servers have either mirroring or
hardware Arrays with hot-swappable drives for local redundancy if a drive fails. All
databases and files are replicated onto mirror servers and backed up onto tape media and stored off
site. Some sites and data are even replicated directly off site to various
customer locations.
